Default Trophy Ridge sights??????????

Will the Flatliner, or Flatliner Extreme take the "Nitro" sticks?
I'd rather not pay the extra for the Nitro Extreme if I don't have to.
Any other differences between the trophy ridge sights (Not looking at the Matrix...$35 for dampers? I think not!)

The Flatliner will not accept the "glow sticks." You would have to drill a very precise hole. You can purchase the DVD bracket for around 25 dollars.

I drilled my flatliner and wasn't happy with the glow stix. It is a precise hole like litework said. Here is a picture of what I ended up doing.

Nice lookin rig Chief!
I kinda want to go with the light sticks as I have been having some bad luck with LED lights for some reason. Glow sticks seem as though they would be more reliable.

the stix were really brite but just didn't transfer very well to the pin heads.

good luck with it. be careful when drilling the hole, very careful.

I've never used that sight or held one up close. But can I ask why the sight needs light pins? I've been thinking about the Matrix for Hunting and 3-D, but on a post I started about a month or so ago, got mixed reviews. If the pins are fiber optic, why a secondary source of light? My $10 tru-glo from wal-mart, albeit all plastic, shines bright in faded light. I'm not being facetious, just honest.

Stealth, can't remember where the hole is - so the stick falls between the housing of the sight and the fibers OR on the outside of the fibers. But would have to be drilled precise and SLIGHTLY smaller than the sticks themselves.

As far as the dampers, cut a limb saver in half, attach one half to the front side of the sight, the other to the bracket coming from the riser. Whala! Instant dampening on your sight.

jetblast, these are some of the brightest sights I've ever seen. I don't use my sticks - yet. The glow sticks burn for about 14 hours, and allow the sight pins to be seen well after there is enough light to even see the target (for those who like to see sights to the very end)

Jim.

I have the flatliner and I have no problem seeing my pins well after legal shooting light so I don't know why you would need them.

Well, I found a SMOKIN deal on a new Nitro Express (no need to drill a hole)!!!
I like to shoot with both eyes open, that allows me to use a smaller peep. If I can make the pins brighter still, I can use a target style peep and shoot in ZERO light (PRACTICE..NOT hunting!! but you can see the benefits).
BTW...I have found that you can get BAGS of the light sticks for $20 or LESS for bags of 120 sticks on e-bay as well (Not $1 per stick from Nitro/Trophy Ridge)
