Default Pa Spring Bowhunter Festival

Anyone going to the Pa. Bowhunter Festival? This is a great 3-D shoot in Souteast Pa. There will be 120 targets on 6 courses plus the Hammer course for those who like to live on the wild side. This years shoot will be April 9th and 10th from dawn to dusk on Saturday and dawn to 3:30 on Sunday. Quite a few venders and all the targets used for the shoot will be sold on Sunday evening. The shoot will be held at the J Edward Mack Scout Reservation in Brickerville, Pa. The festival benefits the BSA. The cost for the shoot is $16 for Saturday, $13 for Sunday or $25 for the weekend. ram96, send me your address and I'll mail you a flyer. This is the best shoot you'll attend all year.

BG I helped set up and tear down the first few years of the shoot. I now let the younger shooters do the hoofing. Now I just shoot until I can't pull the bow anymore then hit the food concessions and buy gear that I will probably never use. I just hope we have good weather this year. I can't remember the last time they had a Friday without rain. I'm sure I'll see you their. Just look for a worn out old guy piggin out on the bar-b-que and corn soup.

Ram I almost forgot you! I see your from Port Matilda and if not mistaken, thats very close to State College. Your best bet will be route 322 east. Route 501 is approximately 25 miles east of Hershey off 322. You turn north on 501 in a little berg call Brickerville. Camp Mack is about 2 miles off 322.

I'm one of the younger backs needed for set-up, unfortunately I won't make it there in time due to work.
I just hope I'll get there in time to go to Shady Maple restaurant!![:-]

If you've never been to this shoot, people need to get there and have some fun. You'll see some target bows on the courses, but it's really geared to the hunter, and just having some informal fun 3D shooting.

There's also an equipment auction Saturday night where you can get some great deals on all sorts of stuff, and then a target auction Sunday when the shoot is over.
