Agreed, but how many times will one of these guys take a shot like that, never recover the animal, and it doesn't make the video?

silentassassin,
I've watched a ton of Primos Videos too, and this is also the 1st I've seen in any of them filmed of taking a "common sense(IMO)" bad shot and basically claiming it as a good one. So overall I'm happy with their video's, just very suprised on this hunt.

I have to disagree with Adams, though. I think these shows (in general) are great for hunting. People that will watch them (again, in general) are outdoors types that may be swayed into trying it out as a result of the excitement they see on the screen. Hunting shows are mostly good. You just have to take the bad with the good. There will always be both.

Micheal Waddel's shot on the turkey out of the tree was legal in the state he was hunting in. And it wasn't roosting at the time either, it was flying from tree to tree as he called it from his position at the bottom of that ridge.
Overall, IMO the realtree guys do a good job of producing good and informative videos.
And the same with the primos guys.

My only comment is that I don't like calling these guys pros. What makes them a professional? Anyone with the money and the desire can go out and make these videos and sell them. That hardly makes you a pro. They may be a professional photographer or marketer, but being a pro at hunting is not a requirement to make these videos.
In additon, the more involved in the making of these videos, they more likely someone is going to do something you consider unethical. Ethics do differ.

I saw a show last fall wher the guy shot an antelope at 500yards with a 22/250, he hit it low. It took around 6 hrs to find him for another shot. Isn't a 22/250 a varmit gun?

ive seen that video with brad farris, its also on their dvd big game out west. one thing i think nobody is considering here is how small an antelope actually is. head on, im sure that arrow hit lungs, heart if it was low enough, liver, possibly some big arteries, and the paunch before it exited out the back. a sure killing shot, one i have seen more than once out here. i dont think it was an unethical shot at all.
just my 2 cents worth
