Hmmm... if you're really dead set on hunting this particular place, how about gathering up some good quality 125 grain heads and tuning your bow to shoot them? If you can't get your bow to shoot 125's when your already shooting 100's, then somethings bad wrong. The only thing you MAY need to do, but shouldn't need to do, is go stiffer. that would only apply if your already hugging the weak side of the spine chart that your current 100 grain setup is launching.

Still having trouble? Send it to me... I can tune it to shoot a brick duct taped to the end of your arrow so that it flys like a dart. Not a big deal.

Have you tried the 125. The setup I would use shows no real difference to either weight. Give it a shot and see before getting all worked up. This guy sounds crusty enough to be interesting. Push him a little. Might make for a great story when your an old man.

I would imagine this comes from experience. They may have noticed a trend in unrecovered animals and found that bears shot with a 100g head we recovered less of the time then those shot with a 125g head.
What That just doesn't make sense , if they are the same cutting diameter .

Using the line that Canadians are all the same is about as smart as thinking we all live in igloos as well!!

I have 2 bear and used 100 gr with only 49 lbs KE. That is either a rule he can't change or one he has made up that is about as stupid as the Canadian comment!!

You obviously are about as smart as a post. Or would that be insulting the post!!!

That rule is pretty stupid but you better watch your mouth about canadians, just because he is canadian has nothing to do with the weight allowments. Sorry but being canadian has nothing to do if you are stupid or you have a good sot or bad shot or nothing of that kind.[:@]Watch whay you say bob d.

According to the American-Canadian exchange rate a 100 grain tip in the US is equivilent to a 125 grain in Canada.
