Super Slam!
I just finished reading Chuck Adams' new book "Super Slam!".
I couldn't put it down!!! It was the best hunting book I've ever read. I grew up admiring Chuck and gawking over his photos in magazines. His accomplishments are unbelievable. Not only did he complete the Super Slam with a bow, but he would only need a few more animals to complete the Slam again!! That is unbelievable.
This is a must read for any bowhunter IMO. He tells you what to expect while hunting the various animals across the continent. I will say this, he is one tough customerf!!!

I have read it too. Probably what empressed me the most was the fact that he does most of his hunting from the ground and sneaks in on his animal. I have a hard enough time getting to full draw from a tree when a deer comes by much less sneaking into bow range without spooking the animal and then drawing and making a good shot. He must have nerves of steel.

mdbohuntr,
Life at Full Draw came out a year or 2 ago. It was about him, but not written by him. It was also a GREAT read!!!. It was more about how he got started and included a few hunts from the Slam. Super Slam is written by Chuck and goes through each animal, in the order he harvested it. It's an awesome book.

I seen on the Bass Pro Shops huntin' show the other day that they said that Jim Ryan only needs like 4 more critters to complete the DOUBLE Grand Slam!!! [:-] MAN.... I would just love to have the $$$$ that that would cost!!! What an incredible bow hunting experince these guys have had!!! Congrats to all of them! [:-]

If I'm not mistaken, the desert big horn is a once in a lifetime draw, so I doubt either will ever do it again. I may be wrong though.
Back when Chuck and Jim were doing their first Slam, prices weren't too bad, these days they have sky rocketed, faster than inflation, making a Super Slam EXTREMELY expensive.
But even in the 80's when Chuck got his, he was having to take out loans at the bank to pay for his trips!!! Now that is dedication.
I beleive Jim Ryan was rich already and had the cash to spend regardless.
