Hockeyhead,
Do you really think that good strings don't make a difference or are you saying that you do not have the skills to be able to tell the difference? I can say this. With most single cam bows I can tell you after the first 50 shots whether the string is of any decent quality or not. Check the peep rotation to see if it's different. Check for serving separation, especially on the module on single cams. If there is absolutely any serving separation at all, ever, then the string is of inferior quality, which is what goes on most bows from the factory. Or let me rephrase that---all lower end bows and the majority of others.
And guys, here's another way to think about it. Some guys like to have an extra string made up and ready to go in the event something should happen to the one on the bow. Well, in that case you just shoot in the stock string and then replace it with a good one. This way you have the stock string ready to go in the event of an emergency.

If it's not broke why fix it?

How many of us out there bought new bows this year because it was the newest, ;atest, greatest thing? How many bought new arrows when the ones from last season would have worked just fine? Same thing goes for sights and rests and releases. We like new toys, that's all.
I plan on changing my strings at some point this summer. I'll have had factory strings on for a little over a year and have decided to try something new.

If they come with winners choice , or vaportrail strings , why change? Otherwise factor in at least the cost of those and cabels allso . I cant believe the strings mathews customers let them give them , they are total junk , they make some nice bows , but if you are paying that much for a bow why dont they put a good string on it . Not mathews bashing , but give us a decent string and maybe more pepole will consider buying one .
