RE: Kids!
Not to cast a cloud on this thread but I thought I would share. My firstborn son just turned 4 at the end of January. December 9th he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Later that month we were out sitting in a pile of leaves, enjoying a nice day that was warmer than usual. He said he wanted to look for deer, a past-time we would engage in at his grandfather's house, looking from his florida room for deer that cross his yard. So as we sat outside looking for deer he told me that when he gets bigger and bigger he was going to shoot a deer. Needless to say I was choked up.
On a brighter note, he's responding well to Chemo/radiation and his symptoms are gone. So maybe he will get that chance.

My son thinks I can do anything.
He thinks I am so cool.
He thinks i do no wrong. But he has no idea if it were not for him i could not do anything right. "My son is my hero". God has blessed my wife and I with something thats worth more than all the money in the world worth more than all the fame anyone could ever hope to have. He gave us our son!

RE: Kids!
Kids are definately a blessing from God. As hard as they are to raise sometimes, I wouldn't trade parenthood for anything in this world. I have 3 boys (8, 4, 2 weeks old) I am looking forward to sharing some time in the woods with.

Talondale , your son is on my prayer list!!!
That one had the tears rolling!!! Kids say the darndest things!
Well when I admitted that I had missed he looked at me and with all of his youthful innocents and honesty said "You're really not very good are you Daddy"

Talondale,
You are in our prayers also. Sounds like a great little guy!
RTA47.....Great Post!! My little boys and my wife are everything to me. I don't know what I would ever do without them! And they do say some of the funniest things. Wish there was a little recorder going somewhere where you could go back to every now and then and listen for a good laugh.
Great thread! Here is a picture of a blackie I took last fall with my 2 little men. Probally as you can tell in the picture, our oldest is a little comedian, that look on his face tells it all. His spirit is special( the doctors we had in Canada at the time said that he was going to be born deformed, and have many health problems.....he showed them what they know! HA! He was born healthy as a horse, he is such a good little guy and quite the big brother. And his younger brother ,who had some serious problems during pregnancy and doctors had some doubts about if he would make it or not. My wife was on bedrest for over 3 months, then out of the blue the problems she was having with him just dissapeared! They don't have any medical reason for what happened, all we know is that we had help from someone on that one! He is a strong willed little guy, and is going to be the same way as his older brother! The deer better watch out when this duo can hit the woods!
