Sighting In
I picked up my new Diamond Rapture on Saturday, which shoots like a dream! As I have been sighting it in the past few days I began to wonder what yardage would be best to set my pins at. My bow shoots flat a little past 20 yards, obviously where I would set my first pin. The question I had was where should I set my other 2 pins? I was thinking about doing 30 and 40 yards and compensating for distances in between those yardages. Does this sound about right, or should I spread my pins out by a few more yards? I shoot 32" draw, 60#, string loop and release. Thanks for the input!!

RE: Sighting In
It really comes down to personal preference. I like my sight to be as "open" as possiable so I only have two pins. I shoot one pin out to 25 yards and my second pins is at 35 yards. I shoot enough to adjust for shots longer or shorter but it's really just second nature at this point.
If you're going to set them 20,30,40 try setting your first pin at 25 and you second at 35. It will clear up you sight picture and should do basically the same thing for you. If you're not comfortable with that yet then shooting 20,30,40 is fine as this is how I started until I felt comfortable with fewer pins.
Keep in mind for hunting situations you want the animal as close as possiable. Inside 30 yards is optimum and knowing your limits is of paramont importance. A 40 yard pin may tempt you to take a shot you really shouldn't be taking IMO.
