I would take the smaller buck. It looks like a sure thing in that position at that distance. I definately would not be ashamed for anybody to see me drag him out of the woods. A lot could happen to that big buck at a 100 yards. I also know with my luck what happens when I get too greedy, not that I'm calling anybody greedy.

Its a moot point. I would probably have a massive stroke up in my tree if I ever saw a deer that big[8D]

I have been in this exact situation several times, but have never had to make the decision because the darn alarm clock always goes off. But in a nondream senerio i would pinch myself then wait for the big un.

Yep....I'd wait. Even if you didn't get a shot...what an awesome experience just to watch him in living color.
Good luck, all!

I would not shoot the smaller one BECAUSE there is a chance of a pass thru and hit the does butt. If then I had a chance at rhe big one I would take it. Cant believe no one seen that possibility. Quess you all had buck fever???

The booner is too old and tough to make a respectable meal . - PASS .
The doe is exactly what I need for the freezer . - SHOOT .
The subdominant is maximum age and size for the freezer . - SHOOT AFTER THE DOE(If still available) .

The booner looks impressive , but I don't trophy hunt .
