Bow hunting banned is U.S.?!?!

RE: Bow hunting banned is U.S.?!?!
Do you know what really disturbs me about Peta people and animal rights activists? I hope I'm not the only one that notices this, but I believe they care more about animals than they do human beings. I don't think they give a thought to the troops in Iraq, the homeless in america, abused children and so on........they'll step right over a sick human to keep a cow from becoming a good steak. They value the life of an animal without a soul more than their own kind. They don't have the heart to try and help with the real problems in the world, so they make an issue out of something else just becaue they don't like it and they want to force their opinions and screwed up values and morals on us. Now don't get me wrong, I hate to see animals suffer, and I really hate people that mistreat them, but if you think you're stopping me from enjoying a steak or a chicken sandwhich or putting an arrow or bullet in a deer for some good jerky.........sorry bub, well actually I'm not sorry, but we're gonna have to fight.

I never underestimate these radical idiots. We will face many challenges in the future in terms of our hunting rights and will get no help from our government that seems more interested in helping foreigners than they do their own people. All I can say is that if it ever happens then I'll be considered an outlaw as I'll never quit hunting...

If they do all us rednecks still will shoot what ever steps in front of us. That and there will be alot more bumper gaurd on truck cause people will runover our favorite game.
The real way to prevent this is to get the next generation out in the woods. We must get to the youth before them other a$$holes do cause if they do its over.

Folks, The fur trappers use to say the same thing and look where their at. I hate to say it but if we're not careful it just may happen. With these two groups joining forces they have what 500, 1000 lawyers whos only mission is to stop your sport. They have both time and money, lots of money on their side and they will just slowly chip away till its gone. Look at the problems they have caused for some states to have dove hunts, bear hunts or pheasant hunts. They don't care about lost habitat, caring capacities, disease or car collisions. All they care about is that we don't hunt, period.
First PETA will be coming after the traditional bowhunters, convincing the public and courts that its a cruel, inaccurate, primative weapon. Then they'll go after the rest of the sport of bowhunting. Next will be small game hunting because that is truly recreational. Then all they need to do is divide and eliminate the different firearms groups one at a time.
Less then 10% of the nations population hunts so all peta has to do is convince the a portion of the non-hunting population that what we do is somehow wrong or cruel or that their way is better (ie birth control, ect.) and hunting is gone. The numbers are against us and what really gets me pi$$ed is that out of that 10% that hunts only about 3% vote or even bother to get involved at all. Majority of them just sit back and say it won't effect them.

Wirehair, you are absolutely right!!! And for those that think it can't happen you are in another world. We need to be proactive in our interests and join state and local associations who help to fight the fight. Or these morons will just chip away and chip away until they get what they want. We are a minority and there are alot of people out there who are on the fence as to which way they perceive something. Look at the Maine bear situation. Bear hunting was the target and the sportsman of Maine took it to the people to educate the benefits of bear hunting and they won this past fall. BUT it was not by much I think it was 53% to 47%. If you don't think these kooks will be back again for another shot at banning bear hunting you are kidding yourself.
