I'm not an english professional by any means so I cannot critique your essay from a &quot;literally correct&quot; standpoint. It sounds good to me, though maybe a bit wordy.

Just be sure that if you get a grade you are not pleased with, do not jump to conclusions. I'd almost be willing to bet that you will receive a better grade than the proffesor would have like to have given, simply because she will not want the confrontation.

If you get a poor grade, Ask her to spend a 1/2 hour with you alone to go over the fine points of essay writing in the english language that you may have missed. While it might be difficult, try not to engage in the topic of hunting at all, just come across as &quot;eager to learn&quot; - you may impress her more than you know.

Most true antis really have the wrong impression, do not add feul to her fire, you never know, you may have the chance to plant a seed of doubt in her convictions, through your actions.

But I digress, Bow-addict....tough spot. Hopefully although she's a animal extremist, she'll be professional and evaluate your essay as it is, an essay. Unfortunately, if she believes in her crusade, she's not dealing with a full deck.

HMMM maybe you got my old english teacher she was a member of peta and was proud of it i got a good grade though but she got mad when her peta poster mysteriously vanished everyday, my teacher now is really cool i wrote a story and she is gonna help me send it to a magazine my principle even commentted on it

Talk to the head of the place and get it straightened out. A teacher has not right to grade you on their personal values of stupidity. Ask if she has ever hit Bambi with her car!!! Then who killed Bambi??????

One thing I found out in college, was that many, if not most of the professors were liberal anti-gun types. I learned that if I wrote about hunting or guns, that they would actually appear to dislike me. If they dislike you, it's a lot easier for them to grade you lower than what they might have if they liked you.

You might be wise to feel your teacher out, on the subject, before choosing it. However, if you're not too concerned with your grade and like being an activist, then by all means, write all you can about hunting.

I guess I'm lucky that I go to an ag school. In fact just yesterday I spent an hour in a professor's office talking about hunting, which was cool. I did three papers on hunting last year, two on why deer birth control doesn't work and one on how hunting has influenced me. I ended up with an A in the class, and I had guessed that my teacher was an animal rightist. However, we talked about why hunting is good, and she came away with a new perspective. So, just try to reason a bit with your teacher, and if she still is very anti, realize she will never understand and is blind to the obvious.

We have to remember that, although we don't agree with them, they feel as strongly against hunting, as we feel for it. We can only hope that they will be opened minded enough to learn something from us. The impression that we make and leave with them, will have a lot to do with how they view our sport. Of course, some of them are so deadset in their ways, nothing will make them see the truth.
Good luck with your paper, bow-addict. I hope you get the good grade you deserve. If not, as others have stated, go to the next rung on the ladder.

If the mark you get doesn't refect the quality of the work. I would go see the dean. They Can't give you a bad grade due to the subject matter. Most professor are anti hunting because they spent there WHOLE LIFE in a book that someone else wrote they don't really have there own ideas just what they read somewhere (except biology professors there actually have to spend time in the woods. No bio teacher is anti hunting unless the animal is an endangered animal then they are anti poaching.)If you don't get the mark you think you should get go see the dean. remember what ever mark you think you should have knock 5 to 10 points off. I read your work and I feel it is about a B- to C eassy
