If it's a left-wing and you are looking from the back of the feather,the base will be extended to the right with the barbs to the left of the base.It will look like an "L".

I think the other post I replied to got whacked before you got a chance to look at it.
If you hold the with the nock end facing you and the feathers "teist" to the right from back to front, that's a right helical. Vice versa for a left helical. Check out these sites for more info.
