Yea...I shoot from my stand at 20 and 25 yards...and hit dead on the bulls-eye. I don't think I need to compensate any for the height.
Thanks again, everyone!!! I really appreciate all of your advice and expertise!!

A couple other questions:
Do I need to be as worried about scent as I do with deer?
I've heard hogs can't see squat....can they hear pretty good, or not?
Good to eat, I guess?
Thanks!

A hog's sense of smell is excellent. So, yes be worried about YOUR smell as you would with deer, if not more. Play the wind. They can hear well when they want to,...like when they're spooked or when they want to pay attention. While they're rootin around and eatin, it's pretty easy to stalk 'em and get close, really close! Be knocked and ready all the time! Even walkin to and from your stand.
Wild hogs can be great tasting. So far, every sow that I've eaten, has been excellent! I've had very good and very bad experiences with boars, so just try it and then let us know how it turned out.
One more thought, if a hog happens to square off at you, and you think he's gonna charge you.....................take the shot! Just aim in front of the shoulder at the base of the neck(like the chest area)toward the opposite ham if possible. Beware the scene will be graphic! You wouldn't believe how much red fluid can come out a hog's nose. I've only done this once but he didn't go 10 yards. After that experience, I'll take that shot every chance I get.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

Between the 9 of us we got 15. 12 boars between 150 and 175 lbs, 2 boars between 350 and 375 lbs, and one sow at 110 lbs or so.
Trying to upload a picture or two, but no luck.
Any advice/direction?
Thanks!

Id get that mathews shooting right , and use a quality fixed head like the montecs you have , or muzzys , or magnus stingers . 5 inch feathers may help . We know about hogs here in Florida.

I hunt hogs every year for the last 5 years and I love it. Don't read into the fixed/mechanical debate to much. I have taken hogs with both and the work equally well for me. I had a guy that had me so hyped up that you couldn't bring one down with a bow by shooting it behind the shoulder that I practiced for weeks with some 100gr Montecs(becaused they only allowed fixed) at 20 yds trying hit a spot the size of a half dollar. I did this because I was told to imagine the hog had a hoop earing in it's ear and to aim for that spot. So I did and took 3 hogs like that in TX. My first time and alot of nerve racking trouble. I since then just use my expandables I use for deer and have taken 8 hogs with them not losing one yet. Get a good broadhead of your choice and practice because nothing beats good shot placement. Above all if you have confidence in your broadheads use them because being confident in your setup is important in the way you shoot. Are the Snypers a two blade? I would recommend a 3 blade for opening up a better bloodtrail. I did shoot a boar this last December in OK that had been in a wallow and was caked with mud and was a little difficult to trail because of this. Let me know how SC was I've heard alot about it but never been.LOL
