1st shed of the year in pa
Today I put corn out in the yard just like I do everyday. My mom and dad where home and saw 14 deer, and then a nice buck came in and thats rare. We never see any buck there, and then he walked up across the road to my pen. When he came back down he had only one side now. So I ran up there and just the tip of the g2 g3 were sticking out of the snow. Well I put the tape to him and got 46. So I think he should go about 110 that good for PA. You can bet I will look for the other side. I tracked him to the top of the hill and I saw were he was eating and could still tell the other side is still there. You can bet I will hunt him next year.

Ditto on the "wow". Timing seems to be about right though for the first of the bucks to start dropping their antlers. I normally don't see most of them shed though until the end of next month. Last year I even had some game cam pics from mid to late march and there were still a few bucks with their "horns" on.

Some have just began to find shed in this area BUT most are still be worn by their owners. As a matter of fact we sat and watched about 30 deer feed in the beans behind the house the other day and the few buck swere still wearing both sides. I generally won't find many until mid to late Feb.
