How many of you keep your older bow as a backup bow?
I know we covered how often do you buy a new bow with Wolf killers post "New bow every year?" But I want to know do any of you keep your older bow as a back up bow in case there is a emergencey wtih your current bow. I do because I like to have the confedence and knowledge that I can kill an animal with my backup bow because I have done it before. I still practice and shoot my older bow as well, just in case there is a unforseen accident, and I have to use it during my hunt. I have a friend that when he buys a new bow he just buys two of the same, I guess that works to if you have the money and want to. I know I have heard many stories about hunts gone bad or ruened because of bow equipment malfunction. It would suck if you were a long way from home or a pro-shop and that happened. Thats why I like a backup!

I still have my Martin Jaguar Magnum as a backup bow. The resale value on used bows is complete poop, so I choose to hang onto it. I've never shot the Martin since I bought the Bowtech. I think the real reason I hung onto the Martin was so I can have an extra bow to lend to non-Hunters/Archers to try and introduce them into the sport.

I wish I had kept a few of my old bows for backup. I am almost embarrassed to say that as of right now I only have once bow! Soon it will be my backup though

I do...usually. I always like to have at least one bow in reserve should something happen to my #1. It has not happened yet but I like to be prepared. Come to think of it, I tend to have two of just about everything....cept for my wife.
