For those of you who use the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone, Did you shorten your arrow length. I used to have a Futura TKO drop away rest and my arrows were cut 1" in front of the rest. As a rule of thumb, I believe this is the recommended length. However, when installed the drop zone sits further back from the shelf. Though I have it adjusted as close as possible, it still sits approximately 2" further back than my old rest. Therefore, should I shorten my arrows a couple inches so there is only 1" in front of the rest? Your help is greatly appreciated.

No you don't have to. If they are shooting fine then leave them alone.

I also agree with shadowace leave them alone a friend of mine shoots a drop zone and he cut his arrows down and the whole spine of the arrow changes and can effect tuning.

No doubt about it, you certainly have a better rest now in the TR Drop Zone!!! It's a great rest, you'll love it! If you are totally happy with your arrows now then leave 'em alone. However, I do prefer to atleast bring the arrow back so that the tip doesn't extend beyond the riser. I would cut off some length.

Why is that? Just a preference? If he is cutting off just an inch he probably is going to have to do it on the nock end because of the insert and then he will have to re-fletch.

If it is shooting fine i'd leave it alone , but if you want to shorten them you dont need to remove the vanes , you can heat up the glue on the insert with a candel , and the insert will slide right out .

Don't forget to look ahead to hunting season. If you cut your arrows too short you may have issues with the broadheads hitting the riser when you come to full draw and knocking your arrows off the string. Personally I've always paid more attention to where the end of my arrow is in relation to the riser then the rest.
