As long as they aren't fenced in I don't have an issue with it. There is no guarantee that a big buck will come by. And IF one does...they are STILL deer, and you need to be quiet (unless useing a gun) and hope the come close enough to shoot with a bow...and hope they don't jump the string..and...and..and....
Remember, they are on a budget, and MUST get a deer to make the video/TV show. If they showed "real" hunting....who's gonna watch me sit in a tree for 3 days, 4 hours a day (minimum) to shoot a basket 8 pointer?

my position: if you are going to hunt then hunt. this means year round scouting, watching for trends and developing a harvest plan.
i watched one of those shows where approx 10 guys drove deer to the shooting area. wow what a fair chase hunt that would be.
at least when you are bow hunting its you and the deer at 20 yards not 350 yards.
how many of you bowmen out there like the after the rut hunts. i think that this is some of the best hunting. man, you really have to use all your learned skill to get the big boy to your stand. you certenly do not see very many of these shows on the tv.
with all that said hunt on bowmen 24 days to go but whos counting
