Ohios 2 state and world record bucks (pics)
Here is a pic of Ohio's state record bucks. They are both world records as well.
The non-typical is the very well know Mike Beatty buck. It is our state record
non-typical bow kill as well as world record bow kill. It was taken Nov. 8 2000.
It nets 304 6/8 non-typical inches
The typical buck was taken by Brad Jerman Nov. 10 2004. It nets 201 1/8 typical inches**.
It ranks as the world record crossbow kill as well as the 9th largest typical ever taken.
** The buck is tied with another Ohio buck for 1st place in our state records with a bow kill that also scored in at 201 1/8 inches.

Wow those mounts actually look good. Not to offend anybody, but most of the mounts I see that are done by taxidermist in that area look like s*** .............Anyway those are good looking bucks and a pretty cool photo.

RE: Ohios 2 state and world record bucks
I just moved to Georgia from Ohio in 2002. I lived in Butler county not far from where the Beatty buck was taken (it was taken in Greene County, Greene County is near Dayton, OH for those non buckeyes). I couldn't believe the size of the deer. A true monster in every sense of the word.
Here is a quote from the Dayton Daily News about the Beatty Buck....
I didn't think it was the largest hunter taken deer ever...but knew it was big!
Personally I think the Jerman Buck mount is a work of art.

The Dayton Daily News reported the final size of the now famous Beatty buck. Mike Beatty's whitetail buck has been the talk of the hunting world since he took it with his bow and arrow in Greene County, Ohio, on Nov. 8, 2000.
The 39-point antlers were officially scored at 304 6/8, making it the largest rack on a deer ever killed by a hunter in the world. Only two others have ever scored higher, but they were found and picked up without anyone knowing how the animal died. One was the "Missouri Monarch" that scored 333 7/8 and the other was "Hole-In-The-Horn" rack that was 328 2/8. The Missouri rack was found near St. Louis in 1982, andthe "Hole-In-The-Horn" deer was found dead near a railraoad track near Ravenna, Ohio, in 1940.
