Crossbows for deer hunting in IL.

RE: Crossbows for deer hunting in IL.
Yes a line must be drawn somewhere. You cannot allow someone to use just whatever they want for the sake of hunting. I keep hearing this crap of hunters being divided.....for the most part that is a load of malarky. What is hurting hunting the most is the loss of land to hunt and that is due to many factors including greed.
The state better darn well change their language back to where the landowner will be backed by the state in liability cases in which a landowner chooses to allow whom they want on their land. I personally know of two landowners who closed their land off to hunting this fall. In their words," No government is going to tell me I have to open my land up to every Tom, Dick, and Harry who asks." So a few long time hunters/friends lost some hunting land in 2004.[:@]
I seriously doubt we will see no firearm check stations. The state utilizes these for running tests on CWD.
