RE: TIP OF THE WEEK!!!!
I bring enough tools to fix nearly anything that can go wrong with a bow (save for something like broken limbs) to camp....nothing more than a spare release, and an extra section of string loop material into the woods.
With 4 guys in camp, I am the one who normally will be fixing anything that might go wrong...so I have stuff in my box that I'll never need (rubber peep tubing for one)

I think you have a good idea. The only tools I bring to the woods though, are my camo clothes, no scent sprays, deer calls, deer lures, and my bow. I do practice all year round, and also all season. I know some hunters, and I used to be one of them, who practice all year, and then when hunting starts they never shoot at anything but a deer in front of them. Making sure to practice during the season is just as important.

I'm with shortdraw, I travel as light as possible. I used to be the boy scout type, always be prepared. But after toteing the stuff around for years and never using it, I stopped.
I shoot all year now and know my equipment well. If it breaks, I probably can't fix it anyway!!!! I try to shoot a few arrows at camp before I go out. Not to adjust the pins, just to work out the kinks.
Have fun, hunt hard and be safe!

RE: TIP OF THE WEEK!!!!
All I carry in my fanny pack to make any repairs with is a multi-tool pack, a small allen pack and a spare rest. I still use the old flipper rest on my Bear Alaskan. The only problem I have ever had is an arrow falling off the rest and ending up on the ground. I am usually hunting in hot weather and try to limit what I have to carry to the woods. I only have 4 more days to wait and I will try it again as the season opens next Monday.
