Default shoot through windows

I got a Doghouse blind for Xmas and was wondering if anybody had any experience with the shoot through windows. Do they effect the flight of the arrow other than slowing it down? Also, I am using Spitfires so I guess I will buy some Muzzy's. Has anyone ever shot a mechanical with the blades open? The shoot through windows seem like a good idea and they are part of the scent control with the blind but it seems like it would change the direction of the arrow. Thanks

I have shot thru my cammo screen with absolutely no effect on the arrow flight using muzzys. I have not tried expandables. I would imagine that shooting a field point would not be a great idea though as the vanes/feathers would have to push their own hole through the screen.

I shot 20 shots through my window to test it. I really though it would effect it but it didn't. I only shoot to 30 yards, so it may on longer shots. Most guys I know who've hunt a ground blind alot say don't use Mecanicals.

Good Luck!

You can buy replacements, but you can shoot several arrows thru each window before you replace them (depending on exactly how many penetrate the screen in the same place)

The Spitfires might be fine. They are supposed to close up. Don't know how it would affect arrow flight though.

I did it once ,and almost got arrested,I'm glad that guy didn't press chargesI don't think that I would use Mechanicles, even if one blade opens, they can careen off into another direction than intended.
