I am going on a bowhunt next year in MN near Houston and was wondering generally when do you guys see some pre rut activity? Thanks for any advice.

Usually things start happening the last week of october and first week of november.

Where are you going near houston?
I'm from Houston County and know the area well. I live in LaCrescent.

Agreed, from the area also and last week of october/ first week of november. I love hunting right before the first gun season starts.

MNrut.....I have lived in LaCrescent all of my life until moving to Mankato in September, I bet we have seen each other around.

Hey MNRut and MNPurple....Have either of you know of the Peterson or Swenson families. Both live just outside out Houston. I'm buddies with a couple of them.

MN stump..........There is alot of both of those names around here, but there is one Peterson (Dan i think) who has a big chunck of property and the land that i hunt borders his. He usually lets us drive up into his to retrieve deer
