I think people need to stop with the assumptions about Texas deer and Texas hunters. Untill you are in our shoes why judge how we hunt. Like I have said a very small percentage of Texas hunters hunt high fence, truthfully mosty high fence hunters are probably from out of state. But even still you are talking about hunting on a 10,000 + acre piece of land. Anyways Texas is different just like Ohio, Illinois, Kansas, and all the other states. Texas is big lots of people own big amounts of land lots of people lease, lots of people feed deer.. But hey thats the way they hunt they are still hunters and we gotta stop being so against one another ... we all love to hunt no matter if you or me agree with or like... with, what, or how it was done...

I see an awful lot of "my deer was more difficult to take, so it's a better trophy". Each person should challenge themselves to the degree they want and then realize that no matter how you decide to hunt, the deer you take will still involve a certain amount of luck. Heck, I've seen some big bucks taken on public land, that were the results of the luckiest hunt in the world. It took no skill or preparation whatsoever, yet the person felt that since it was a public land buck, that he had done something really great. Baloney!

I agree Texas is steriotyped. It's the hunting shows and even video's like "Jack Brittingham", or even realtree to an extent. Anybody ever watched their video's?, 95% of the hunts devalue the meaning of common word of real hunting, and make it into something called harvesting. Kind of like fishing out of an aquarium. But not everybody thinks of the word the same way, which is fine. Video's like that steriotype Texas. And majority of hunters don't like not because of envy and jealousy, but because it's the trend of the hunting future, and not a trend that the vast majority of hunters want.
I'm not referring to the deer the txhunter posted, just discussing the topic that was brought up about Texas deer and Texas hunters
