finally a buck, there is a god! drought over!
thank god it happened sunday! actually me and my best friend a dec officer, we hunted a local honey hole holding a few nice bow only bucks,,,, well i put him in a stand i built near a fresh scrape and i went w/ the climber on a worn in run w/ no stands on it! so coming w/ the wind 80 yards i see a spikey, turned out to be a three,, well anyways a giant 1.5 year old buck, comes in 20 yards looks right at me for a second then continues past a clump of oaks, perfect pull and draw, 12 yards, lower down my 20 pin ,,,, bam! sweet! first buck shot at in 2 years! saw it hit dead center lungs,,,, called my bud on the nextel w/ the news,,, so he said ill be over, gets to me w/ a bloody arrow in his hand, wow, he shot a doe but not well he said,,, it ducked and he hit it high as hell,,,,, so this is late 5 pm or so, so i figure why make a ruccus so i waited till am monday, my crazy tracker bud went out w/ me,,,,, bout 20 minutes later my 3 was found gutted and dragged to the main trail this is 7 am and he has to work at 9 so went went for the doe, my other bud had to go to work in nyc so he was gone and we were left w/ trying to find a poorly hit doe with no shooter but nextel radios so i could talk to him 175 miles away live! gotta love technology! first blood 60 yards,, then a bunch then alot then none then a puddle,, anyways,, we looked till 8;30.. 300 yards away and no deer,,, tons of blood,,,,he came w/ me so we left then i returned w/ a friend who never ever tracked a deer before but he actually found tons of blood and loved it,,,,, still nothing,,,,,,,,, 3 more hours went buy and we had it!!!!! then my same bud from the am said he had a long lunch and went back out! the nut found her,,,, 100 yrds from the stand, it circled back and bedded in a field,,,,, wow! crazy! anyways again DONT EVER GIVE UP!

Congrat's on your harvest's guy's .I'm sure glad to hear you stuck with it and found your bud's doe as well .There would have been alot who would have given up on her after spending so much time seasrching..
