That is an impressive showing of venison atlas

I have also has trouble with zip lock freezer bags.

I lost a quater of my hot sticks from freezer burn this past winter.
But freezer burn did not affect any of the other venison I had in the freezer the same amount of time.

Not sure why it got the hot sticks but nothing else. Perharps because the pork fat in the sticks freezer burns faster???

I tried using the zip-lock freezer bags myself but prefere wrapping my meat in wrapping paper(butchers paper)that way i can put 2 steaks per wrap,1roast,etc,and mark it with a marker.I think its cheaper as well,a little more work though.

I use the vac-sealer and it's great.. Only $70.00 and your meat wont freezer burn.. You can keep it alot longer too than using zip locks.. Just an idea for ya if you havn't thought of it..
