well my cousin is who im am talking about, he went to our land this weekend to hunt and he called me last nite and i asked him if he had seen anything. well he said he hit a monster 8 point and tracked it forever and couldnt find it, i asked him where he hit it and i just cant think of a possible reason why he would but he said he shot it in the neck! so now we have a big 8 point running around with an arrow in his neck unless he bleed out and he just didnt find it. but i asked him why in hel! he shot it in the neck {this is what got me really mad} he said thats the only part of the deer he could see!! sorry bout that had to blow off some steam.[:'(]

S.O.S.O.
What get's me is these kind ALWAYS so close they just KNOW exactly how many points and every detail about a rack. Then when they ruin a nice game animal suddenly they couldn't see this or that, it was a littler further than I thought, or many times the real truth is they just saw one 200 yards away and made up the whole story because it sounds better and they have an excuse for not having a thing to back it up.

Why anyone would take a neck shot is beyond my comprehension. If you only have a neck shot.........YOU HAVE NO SHOT!!!!! Wait. If no good shot presents itself then take it like a man and get 'em next time.
Anyone that says that is the only shot they had is lying. It is the only shot they had at that moment. If they had an ounce of patience they would probably have gotten a good shot off.
He panicked, choked, and buck fever took over his brain. Either that or he doesn't know anything about hunting.
Too bad................for the deer.
