Definately only a 2 1/2 year old. Flat back and lean belly. He's a great looking young deer, but will probably only ever be an 8....although he would be one heck of an 8 with 2 more years on him.
I agree with Greavous about being on the same page as your neighbors.

Here are the 2 biggest bucks I have taken off my property(sorry to say with my rifle), but this just gives you an example of what I expect out of my deer in my area.

Thanks for all your replies. I appreciate it. I am pretty sure I will let him walk even if he gives me an oppurtunity to take him. Like I said before, he is not the caliber of deer I am after, the only reason I would take him is in order to get him out of the gene pool. I am a firm believer to let all young bucks walk to let them have a chance to become a trophy(in my eyes). I understand that a trophy to some is not to others. If I want some meat, I will shoot a doe. More of them need to be shot anyway. I keep studying the pics and the more I look at them the younger he looks to me. Thanks again everyone, for all of your opinions.

It's funny with the post I've read on this one. The only QDM I believe in is don't shoot it unless your going to mount it. Shooting the ones that you don't think will go anywhere in my mind won't get you any where. Ugly people get laid too. I can confirm that. I can't beleive only the big boy gets some. He rules the area when he is there but he can't be everywhere. Every buck will get a little this fall. It will only take that wink and a nood. The more deer you have the better potential for a monster to grow in the group.

Simple. If your not going to put him on the wall let him walk.
