Default pics of my deer

i though you all would like to see a pic of my deer. i seen his mother get hit by a car in july , she moved on to the grass field in the sky and i brought home the baby. we bottle feed it and cared for it . I think it was born in may, because he is littler then the other yearlens running around . he a real good pet and fun to have , he mainly stays in the yard and nevers goes off far . i dont think he will rut this year but next year he will ,what do you all think i live in WV the rut starts in NOV here. he is like a dog and a goat mixed . he eats EVERYTHING he can he loves bread.when we got him i was hoping that it was a female ,we all know why.live decoy .it doesnt get any better then that . just kidding

He won't rut this year as a fawn, oh he'll want to but most does won't have it. Now next year if he's still around and he developes antlers, you want to be very careful especially if you have children around an aggressive buck. I have heard that they do make very excellent house pets and can be house trained.

I don't know about WV law but that would have been illegal to do without a permit from the game commission. You can purchase deer but again, with the proper paper work proving you didn't pick up a wild fawn.

I've been around a few pet deer and every owner says you have to be extra careful about functioning bucks....if you get what I mean. Neutered bucks or does are said to be better.

I've seen buttons chasing the heck out of does and doe fawns during the second rut in December on more than one occasion. Don't be surprised if he starts acting frisky and cantankerous.

There is one im my area too that a guy i know raised him from a button buck. This year he sprouted a nice little rack, and the guy cut the horns of just above the base about 3 inches up and put a orange ribbon on the buck to try to protect it.

Well anyway this fall the thing is all over the place showing up everwhere even in town, my cousin was on a construction job and he said the buck wouldn't let him alone kept coming up to him and acting like it wanted to play. I told him he better watch his back, when working in the area because of the rut getting near. Buck has no fear of humans now, wonder how many years this little guy will live.
