Default Give me a break !!!

Did anyone see Fitzgerald Outdoors today ?
They used the platform of a treestand to cook off of (outside over open fire).
I was flipping and seen it so I stopped, so I dont know what all they were saying about cooking on a treestand.
Dont you think that scent on the platform of the stand would spook the deer ?
I could see doing this in a emergency, life or (starving to) death.
What's your take on this ?

Ya, I saw that too, they said something about it being an "old" stand, so I dont know if they use it anymore. That guy is just nuts!

I didn't see the program but...
I think a lil smoker grill only cost $20 at walmart.
My stands are all over $150 - not a smart thing to use as a grill top.
I can't even see it used for emergency. If you have meat to cook, you are not going to starve to death.
How silly [&:]

When you start getting BIG $ for a hunting show you can toss the old stand, don't have time to repair it and put it back up.

The emergency comment was a joke!
I think I'll go put some burger on the grill....... can't afford to use my treestand. lol

If they would have removed the cables and seat first I wouldn't have thought it was so funny, they had the whole stand on the fire. I was waiting to see the plastic cable covers start to melt and drip on to the food and the wood seat get hot.
I'm not saying they can't hunt, I just thought it was funny to see a complete treestand on the fire.

I used to think Dan was credible in his old shows but since his new Team Fitzerald shows including his son...it's gone way down hill. I have zero respect for his son.
