RE: Are You a Bowhunter or Archer????
Bowhunter for sure.
I practice all year, but my practice is strictly to become a better bowhunter. I'll shoot in leagues and 3D tournaments, but once again, it's strictly with my hunting setup. I use my heavy arrows with heavy tips, and high draw weights. My bow is short. My stabilizer is short. I have a one pin sight and a whisker biscuit. I won't use a back tension release, because I'm not interested in producing the best possible release. I'm interested in getting the best shot I can, on command. I have rubber stuff all over my bow, to keep it quiet as possible. All my practice is with what I hunt with (except broadheads).
I've seen guys who are archers that bowhunt. They have most things set up for greatest accuracy, without much regard to features that help with the "hunting" part of bowhunting.

Does, spikes, little buck & big bucks all taste the same. I'm not in it for the trophy aspect, I just consider a nice set of horns a bonus.
