I feel that if you want the buck, when the time comes, you will draw on him without alot of thought. If he makes your heart race and you find yourself reaching for your bow, then it was meant to be.

I know how you feel. We have passed up deer for the last 5 years on a property we hunt so that we can have bigger bucks to try for. All the surrounding property owners are on the same wagon with us except one, and hoperfully they will see the light. Anytime you pass on a buck, their is always the chance that someone else won't, that is why if possible, to get hunters on joining land to practice management as well. My buddy and I have a rule on this property, if you see a buck and you think maybe he's a shooter and maybe he's not, then we don't shoot. When we see a buck and we say whooooooooo, then the green light goes on becasue their is no doubt about it being a shooter. Hopefully he will be there next year and you can tag him. Good luck and aim for the boiler room. BHunter32.
