I hope everyone can experiance the thrill of
hunting and succeeding on one particular buck.
One of the reasons we hunt is for that feeling
of success. I've seen this buck for the last month.
I will admit that on the hoof he looked like he would
score better, but I don't care. I have a big 10 pointer
on my list next. I hope I can harvest him also.
Thanks for the replies and good luck to everyone
this year.(unless team 7 doesn't win!)

He doesn't know it but he's next!

riverbbh, your sort of close to me (I'm in St. Clair). I haven't had any luck with light rattling or grunting. can you define "shake the bag" and "soft grunts?"

Very nice buck and great story to go along with it. Nice way to put your team on the board.

To simulate rattling right now I just try to imitate what two little basket racks half as* ing it would sound like. They don't hit hard. They just come together and push for about 15-20 secs. Then I grunt really soft for about 1/2 sec. Thats it. I just want the deer to think that there are more in the immediate area and its safe to come in.
