In KY it's relatively inexpensive for residents;
Combo hunt/fish license $22.50
Deer permit (2 deer) $25
Fall Archery Turkey(2) $15

Virginia resident isn't bad I think I paid 35-40 bucks to have hunting, big game, archery. But I have to say I can remember, and it wasn't too long ago, that paying 35 bucks wasn't easy for me to swing. especially when you consider that it might be for nothing more than some alone time in the woods.

My parents bought my brother and I both lifetime sportsman licenses for NY when I was 12. Now even though I live a state away I can always go back to NY and hunt for free, for the rest of my life. Awesome gift and well worth the money.

I paid $35 for my Sportman's license here in MS that includes hunting and fishing. Out-of-state license cost over $400 here. I haven't planned any out-of-state hunts so I guess it's pretty cheap for me to hunt.

NY Supersportsman = $68.00 for a resident.
- Spring turkey (2 toms)
- Fall turkey (2 any sex)
- Fishing
- Bear (1)
- Shotgun Deer (1 buck)
- Muzzle loader / Bow (1 anterless / 1 any sex)
- Small game

Not too bad. The lifelong license idea is really appealing, but expensive for adults...
