Default FEATHERS OR VANES ?

Im not sure if we have had this in a while... but Im building a new set and going with feathers and I am curious what all my fellow bow hunters are using...

So what is it -


Feathers or Vanes - 4" or 5" ??

Yes we have, do a search under the same subject and you'll find it....if you look under redundant in the dictionary, it will say to see redundant.

I like feathers. I shoot fingers and use 4" right wing. Feathers are not as durable as vanes but they correct arrow flight must faster.

I switched from feathers to vanes several years ago....back in 96 if I remember correctly.

I shoot feathers. I have to agree with Sniper... Feathers are not as durable as vanes. Thank goodness for it, too! Going by how often I have to refletch worn out feathers vs torn up vanes, feathers are at least 10 times MORE durable than vanes.

Hi, i shoot 4in feathers, right wing with 4% offset on terminator hunting shafts

Feathers most of the time, vanes in damp conditions.

I shoot vanes, but I think I am going to start shooting feathers out of my WB. I go through way to many vanes from one of my other arrows slicing the vanes when I shoot a good group on my 3D target. It really pisses me off sometimes. Do you think feathers will take this a little easier?
