Default lost blood trail

My friend shot a deer broadside 10 yards passthrough. There is tons of blood everywhere but there is no end to the trail. We searched 3 hours. We got the arrow back blood from broadhead to nock. We found pools of blood but no darn deer. I realy think that its down but we can't find a end to blood.

thanks for the help you guys and gals rock.
good hunting to ya too

Where did he hit it?
How long did you wait until you started tracking?
How far did you track?
Exactly when was it hit?

I'm confused, your title to this post is lost blood trail, but you state that you can't find an end to the blood. Which is it? If you're finding blood, keep going, unless you don't want to push the deer and need to back out and give it time to expire.

The end of the blood trail doesn't end the hunt either if the deer isn't there. However, in this case you haven't even reached the end of the best sign. Keep following the blood trail and you may find the deer at the end of it. Don't stop now.

It sounds like you may be pushing the deer. You may do your self a faver and back off for a while and give the deer a chance to bed down.

I feel your pain.

I hit a doe this morning at 8:00. Pass through shot, even flipped her over. Found my arrow covered with hair and meat and blood. Even found the blood trail. but it ended and after 7 hours, still no deer.

This is a first for not finding the deer I hit and I am SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could not hunt tonight.

so you AND your buddy have each wounded a deer this year..... Either learn how to shoot or learn how to track.

I'da kept going till the blood let out anyway. Its a good idea to wait a bit for the deer to die so you dont just keep jumping it.
It can be that the deer was wandering around crosssing its own track if you cant find the end. I had one last year was driving me crazy. It went thru a thickett & back around & thru again, took some unravelling but I found blood again aways to the side where she finally really left & ended up finding her.
I'v lost them before, it happens & while some guys will say it never happened to them, might be theyre just lucky. Could be tomorows the day they'll stick one & lose it or maybe they just won't admit it happened to them.
Whatever, good luck recovering your deer.
