RE: opening day
This is going to be my 4th archery season and it opens in one week from tomorrow!!! I am already shaking. Well im no expert on deer hunting but on opening day all i do is chill in my stand and ready to take a doe. I am usually not using any calls opening day or weekend. I dont even pull out my calls until about october 20th or so. give a few days. But if anyone else who replies to this thread has any better ideas then let us know. Im a NOOB to. lol...gl this season gobble.

RE: opening day
The only thing I ever really use opener is a basic contact grunt and even that is sparringly. When I shot my buck on opener this year I had a 8 pointer right under me while I was watching the big boy and I heard him grunt once. It was cool. Good Luck and use proper scent control with a nice stand site you will do fine. The deer should be relaxed enough where you dont need to get to crazy with calls just yet.
