RE: shooting
Don't take this the wrong way but it sounds like it could be a form issue. Not having a consistant anchor, grip or release could all cause consistency issues.
Are your mussles tired on the days you don't shoot great? Sometimes this causes me to have a "bad day"(If you could call it that. It's tough to have a "bad day" when I'm doing what I love)

Nothing really wrong but like some already sead maby a form problem. Bowhunting being a physical sport things like shooting a little diffrent from day to day can happen things you eat or drink can play a roll from time to time like to much caffein? giving someone the jitters it does for me[:'(] or not getting enuff rest and couse things like punching the release or not being able to focus just right. all kind of crazy things can happen in order to make you shoot diffrent from one day to the next. making you think something is wrong with your equipment when its not.

RE: shooting
As my season approaches, about 3 weeks prior to the season opener, I cut back on my target shooting. What I do is shoot one arrow when I get home from work each day. 1 per day...no more! This makes me concentrate 100% on form and technique. As you only get 1 shot in the field, you should practice taking only one shot at home. It's worked for me.
I have my target set up on my patio anywhere from 10-25 yards and shoot from the bedroom window each night before dinner. I can look at my sheet of target paper and see all my shots falling within my desired aiming point. Try this out and see if you get better results.
