Limbsavers = loss FPS??
Hello all! My friend has a pse thunderbolt with the solid limbs. He put limbsavers on there in the correct location, and said that he noticed his bow being much slower. Nothing else changed? He also said that his bow shot about 2 inches lower...what i dont understand is that i have a Pearson 440 Quad and i put on the split limbsavers and it didnt affect my bow at all...other than vibration and sound reduction...anyone help me understand!? Why did his slow down...? thanks...

Did he try taking the Limb Savers back off? Does he have access to a chrono at a local shop? Maybe he can do a before and after test. He's going to lose a couple fps but nothing that drastic.

RE: Limbsavers = loss FPS??
I was shooting 275fps with my PSE Mohave. I put on limbsavers and it changed my tune and slowed down the bow about 3-5fps. I do have a chrony. I am not worried about 5fps. But was surprised when paper tuning, I then had a right up down rip. I lived it and adjusted my bow to a heavier poundage and got rid of the rip. I also took them off and verified. It was the limbsavers.
I have acutally seen some gain fps. I mean think about it, your putting weight on your limbs. On straight limb bows with little flex, I doubt they would havemuch difference but a bow with low brace height and small riser, I can see them changing things.They won't have the same flex as before.
