How is your archery practice area set up?

I dont have any distance markers on my range.

Just take a guess of the yardage and shoot.
How else are you going to learn to judge the yardage?

I bet you dont put yardage markers out where you hunt so why have them at your practice range.

For me, continual practice at set distances really helps me judge distance in the woods. I also setup my scent at a fairly consistant distance, as well as using range finders when I'm on stand.

Don't get me wrong, I totally agree with you. One of the 'games' we play is to let our kids walk us to a spot in the yard, and then tell us which target to shoot at. Good practice for actual hunting.
