Default serious need of bow help

I was shooting pretty good about a week ago. well I have been shooting every night for the up coming season which is October 1. I dont know what happen my arm that I hold my bow in gets very tried and am I shooting ok. By ok I mean 1 out of 3 arrows may hit the vital area I am shooting only 10 yards away. I have no idea whats going on. I know may sights are still on because sometimes I can get 2 out 3 in vital area. Also how consistent should you be with your arrows? I am thinking I should take a break for a few days, but this is really getting to me I have been out in the fields working I see deer all over. I hope I can fix this problem by Ocober.

At 10 yards you should be able to hit a quarter 3 out of 3 shots. 1 out of 3 in the vitals is unacceptable!!!
It sounds like you have too much weight on your bow arm. Do you use a stabilizer? Try taking it off and shoot awhile to see how it feels. Let your arm rest a couple days before you try again.

I agree! if you are only hitting the vitals 1 out of 3 times you got some problems, could be your arrows, or it could be you. try lowering your poundage

Yes, I agree with the above posts. That isnt acceptable shooting, especially from 10 yards. How were you shooting before your arm got sore???

Too much weight can strees the bow arm, either the shoulder or elbow will begin to hurt. This can lead to the dreaded "Hand Torque". How much weight are you shooting? A reduction may help. I'd also give yourself a couple days break. Jim

Agree with all, but it also sounds as if you are new to archery. An even better solution might be go to a local bowshop(preferrably where you purchased your bow) and have them watch you shoot and check the bow. It may be out of time, your form may be bad. But please, really think about drawing back on an animal if you cannot consistently hit a target the size of an egg at ten yards. Good luck and don't be discouraged.
