Scents / Attractants... anyone smokin'?
I've read a bit on a pair of smoking deer lures... one made by Deer Quest and the other by Tinks.
I've had mixed results with a deer candle, having used one over the last two seasons. I can't say anything bad really, as it was windy on half the outings I used it on.
I think the smoke sticks look interesting and was hoping to hear the good / bad from those who have used them before. Good hunting!

I'm not a scent user. I always play the wind, that way I know I'm not getting busted. I guess I just don't have alot of faith in scents. I may be wrong, but don't most the critters reconize scent from their own area? Secondly, if you spooked a critter while using scent, would it associate that scent with danger thus rendering it inaffective? I don't know.

Okay heres the good good the bad the ugly.
What is the NATURAL INSTICNT of ANY animal when it smells smoke...
RUN.
Can they differentiate between a smoke stick that smells like apples, and an apple tree burning? Smoke is smoke.
