Bucks chasing does

RE: Bucks chasing does
What you have to remember is that bucks don't determine when the rut takes place.....Does deteremine when the rut takes place. The bucks are always ready......they'd breed in the middle of the summer if the does would let them....the season is coming on fast and there are times when does come into estrous early however....the bucks will do their best to chase does 24/7 if they could....just because you saw some bucks checking does, that doesn't necessarily say that the doe are in estrous.....but like in any fact of nature there are exceptions and if this particular doe came in early....you can bet all the bucks want a piece.......that doesn't reflect on the doe herd as a whole.

RE: Bucks chasing does
I have occasionally seen bucks chase does out of the norm. But I saw somethimg last night that made me remember this post and come back to it. I was out scouting/filming deer, when I come to this feild about an hour before dark and there is this small buck aggressively chaseing a doe with two fawns in cicles all over the feild. The kicker is: if that was not great enough for the camera, the doe and two fawns were completely white As soon as I get a chance I will post some pictures from the video footage.
