Tomorrow's the big day!
Scouting is done. Equipment checked. Clothing is set. Wife out of town. All ready to hunt. Less than 24 hours left. I can't wait. Only problem is I havent seen a buck yet [:@] I have a Nice mature doe maped out and ready to put in the freeze but no signs of a buck. I've thought about letting her go to see if she will draw in a buck later in the season. But I'm not sure that would keep anyone else from harvisting her. What do ya'll think?

I'll be in my stand at 5:00 tomorrow morning. I'd like to arrow a nice buck but I won't hesitate to arrow a doe if she presents a shot.
Exactly my though! Once you've got one in the freezer you can relax and concentrate on your buck. In the past I've let doe walk and kicked myself later in the year when I could get that shot back. If you want meat, arrow her!

Good luck tomorrow guys.
I would definately take a mature doe if the opportunity presents itself. As adams mentioned once you have meat in the freezer you can concentrate more on a buck.

I'm planning on letting the air out of as many big does as I can early on. That'll fill my freezer and then I can concentrate on "bigfoot" and another big buck that eluded my arrow last year.
Don't worry about taking out the doe--there's plenty of others to take her spot.

I have to shoot a doe first (earn a buck). We will be taking 7-8 doe this season. If you want some meat it is hard to beat. It also makes passing up the small bucks easier knowing that you already have some in the freezer.
