That's the sad thing about all this. I can almost gaurantee that if I pass on him he won't make it until next year[:'(][:'(]

Great looking deer. I'm in the same situation as many, 95% of the other hunters in my area would drop him (or attempt to) like a ton of bricks given the chance.

That's a nice buck dude. I gaurantee you that if I see one like that....I'm shootin it. I'm still looking for my first buck kill with the bow and that one would do just fine. That red mat on his head makes him look like he's atleast a 3 1/2 if not 4 1/2. No way is he a 2 1/2 nor is he 110-115 in IMO. A side shot would help determine age a little better. Good luck!

What would you score him at then stump? Not many 3 1/2 or 4 1/2 year olds have that small of a body, such a lack of antler mass and a 12 inch inside spread.
Look at the small neck and sholders and the long lanky snout. No way he is older than 2 1/2 IMO.
He has some great genes and I'm sure he has older brothers and a daddy By all means take him if you are happy with him and have a shot. Good luck what ever you choose.

buckeye, I think you are right. I put him at 2 1/2 as well. I have seen alot of the buck in the area over the past couple of years and haven't seen one like this which leads me to believe that he was one of the smaller fork horns that were running around last year. If he had two or three more years to grow he would be unbelievable, too bad that will probably never happen[:'(]

Buckeye....
I really don't have a solid idea. I've mistaken on many, many animals before....so this one wouldn't be the first. I'd just have to say he's over what you said he would be at. But then again, I don't know. lol
