Tough call.
The problem as I see it is if you've found the beginings of a scrape line for a mature animal you don't want to disturb it too much. Personally I would make note of it and when the season opens I would try some scent tactics. Put a little f-glad scent on the rubs and some BF Pre/post rut in the scrape itself. Get down wind 75-100 yards and set up there. I wouldn't scout it too much because if you leave much (any) scent the gig is up and the mature animal is on to you.
