Practice makes perfect
After he begged and begged to go "real hunting", I told my 3 yr old that before I could take him he had to be able to hit the deer target from far away. ( 5 yards).
I really didnt think he would be able to do it. He practiced every day for a week and..............................................
Now Im having a hard time getting him to quit chasing the squirrels around the yard

I feel the same way you guys do. My son is only 6 months old and it seems like so long until I can brag about him like that. benhuntin, I can only imagine how proud you are of him.

Congrats there ben...you have a hunting buddy for life. My 4 year old is getting into it also. He loves to head to the woods with dad on scouting trips and has already spent time in our hunting camp during the season. 4 other members of my club al have sons about the same age so we all give up one morning or evening hunt apiece on the weekends just so the kids can hang out together in camp and the dad's all get to hunt.
