RE: Archery Club in Baghdad Needs Assistance
Thanks for help JeffB while I was down at the MoSmackDownShoot
I got lots of signed ones there
and a few things for the troops
this isn't a one Hood thing. We all need to do our part and pass the word to those that can help.

I pass this on just to let you know that we (the caring) helped this young while he was alive.

We lost a Soldier today
It's with great sadness that I wish to inform you that Cobra Company lost one if it's own today. SPC Carson Ramsey was riding in the gunners hatch of an M1114 Up-Armored HMMWV when a suicide bomber in a VBIED (car bomb) pulled alongside his vehicle and exploded. Despite the fact that he was wearing all his protective equipment he suffered severe trauma to his head and neck. Although there was a medic riding in his vehicle and he arrived at the aid station on Ironhorse Base within minutes, he died on the medevac bird enroute to the Combat Support Hospital in the Green Zone. No one else was hurt and the vehicle only suffered minor damage.
Ramsey was one of the soldiers who I was teaching how to shoot a bow. He had never shot a bow before and he was making good progress. Although he has gun hunted in the past he was looking forward to trying bow hunting upon our return to the states.
SPC Ramsey was 20 years old and was a native of Arizona. Please include him and his family in your prayers.
