Taz, I had sweat dripping off of my nose and was tickling me. Had a mosquito biting my hand, it was difficult but I was still.

Here's a pic of me going in to the woods, notice what I'm wearing and the time compared to the first pic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is awesome. It would really do justice to the story if youwind up gettin that buck. It looks like you may need to spin you stand though. Would you have been able to shoot at these deer?

Wow, never know whats going to happen I guess. I wonder if the deer were nearby and curious what the noise was. I''ve had it happen before, but sorry no proof!

silent, I DEFINITELY would have been able to shoot these deer. They came in from behind this one, I think he was the farthest to our left. But my stand is angled for a shot that way. I set all my stands up for shots toward the shooting lanes. That's my right knee btw.

I doubt I'll shoot any of these guys, they looked to all be 2.5 year old deer.

Here's a pic of the biggest one, has nice width and main beam length but the tines could use another year.

i doubt its the mystery but whats in the bottom left corner???
I think the deer set up a krokay course.

Great story and pic. Isn't it weird how stuff like that happens, then you could be almost scent proof and they smell you from a 100 yards away.

I have one question. When do your deer shed their velvet? I saw three bucks in the last 2 nights and all had full velvet still. Maryland isn't too far from Pittsburgh as far as latitude.

Awesome pics! Great story too. What's the chances of getting a pic with you in it! Nice! Speaking of nice, that's a nice looking group of bachelor bucks, yesiree. Maryland correct? A hunting buddy goes there each year for one week. I've seen some of the MONSTER whitetails he has harvested and can fully understand why you would let them walk. Those are fine bucks by PA standards though. Here's to hoping our recent antler restriction produces some bruisers like you have in your state.

I think it's one of those whicker things they use in crouquet.

Edited to say someone beat me to it.

Great story ! I'm not 100% in agreement to perfect scent removal,i've had this type of thing happen to me as well .deer have walked right up on me while hanging my stand when getting ready for the season.
