Tobacco in the treestand?

RE: Tobacco in the treestand?
I have smoked while hunting in the past...never witnessed a deer getting spooked by the smell. However, this year I have quit and I'll let you know at the end of the season. Maybe I will have to start smoking again!!!

I think all these stories about smoking in the stand and seeing deer should answer any questions about scentlok clothing. It's a matter of keeping the smoke/smell out of the bucks' nose. I doubt many of the deer seen while smoking were downwind.

I personally do not do it in the stand. My best friend on the other hand, does it everytime he sits in his stand. He has alot more wall hangers than I do, but I am a firm believer in scent control and I am not willing to take the chance. He does it, and he's successful. I however am not that lucky, I have to use everything to my advantage. My .02
