You know you are getting addicted when you tell your wife about your Doinker coming loose and she doesn't slap you.

I run a business from home too...and I can relate. I usually sneak out a few times and shoot. For awhile it was really hard because I would shoot and then come back in to work and would simply end up analyzing every shot I had just made.

Hi. My name is Butch and I'm a bowhunter too. I always shoot my bow in my backyard, whenever I get the chance. My addiction started about 4 years ago, when I was at a buddy's house. He had an old Browning compound bow and was shooting it at a big piece of foam in a huge dirt pile about 20 yards away. He handed me his bow and showed me the basics. One major problem.... He's righty. I'm lefty. I absolutely CAN NOT shoot righty. Besides, I'm left eye dominant anyways. You guessed it folks.... {start wincing here} I shot his Browning righty bow lefty, and sailed an arrow 4' wide of the target and into the woods! [][&:] I immediately got hooked and wanted to properly shoot a bow. I saw how expensive new bows are in the stores, but I got myself properly measured and learned I have a 30" draw. So, long story short, as a total "newbie", I did the next best thing. Ebay!!! I picked up a used PSE Edge Series 1000C lefty bow for $70 bucks, then took it to the bow shop and dumped about $100 bucks more getting fully outfitted and setup for me. It is a heavy old 41" ATA dual cam bow, but it is laser accurate and quiet. I find myself constantly doodling around with different ranges (Tru-Glo 3 pin sights are 20,30,40 yards). I go to 25 yards and shoot. 22 yards and shoot. 28 yards and shoot. Constantly learning pin placement for better and better accuracy, versus shooting at a constant 20 yards/top pin.
One thing about shooting a bow. You never get bored!!!

I can't believe all of you. Don't you know that moderation is the key to long lasting success. All I ever hear is practice, practice, practice. Try other sports. Like bow-fishing or bludger tag (fun but hurts like hell and don't forget to wear head and eye protection and I'm not talking about your thinking head either!!!).
